MORGANTOWN, West Virginia —Â Members of the West Virginia Mountaineers’ basketball team are currently on a ZOOM call with Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla and Mike Gansey. Mazzulla and Gansey are reportedly attempting to convince the players to stay together as a team.
Mazzulla and Gansey told the players if they need any help, they were there for them during this period of uncertainty and transition for the West Virginia basketball program.
Mazzulla, who led the Celtics to the Eastern Conference NBA Finals last season, has long been a target to replace Bob Huggins, but unfortunately he has top NBA job and is unlikely to come home at this time.
Stay tuned to The Voice of Morgantown for more details as they become available!
