West Virginia Beats Western Kentucky to Win the Crossover Classic

Sioux Falls, South Dakota – The 15th ranked West Virginia Mountaineers (3-0) overcame a ten point deficit in the second half to beat the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (2-1) 70-64 and win the Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic.  

The Mountaineers were led by Miles McBride (14 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists) and Derek Culver (15 points and 1 rebounds). Oscar Tshiebwe had 5 points and 7 rebounds, and Taz Sherman added 12 (5-7 FG, 2-3 3PT) points off the bench.

Western Kentucky had a balanced attack with Bassey, Hollingsworth, Williams and Anderson all scoring in double figures.

The Mountaineers will next play the #1 team in the nation, Gonzaga, Wednesday December 2nd in the Jimmy V Classic in Indianapolis.  The game starts at 7:00PM and will be televised live on ESPN.
