Morgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, West Virginia redshirt senior defensive lineman Jeffery Pooler, Jr. decided to return for one more season with the Mountaineers!
Although Pooler is a senior, the NCAA allowed for another year of eligibility following the 2020 season. This past season, Pooler had 14 total tackles – 8 solo and 6 assisted – 2.5 tackles for loss and 1 sack.
In his message posted on social media, Pooler said the following: “2020 has been a crazy year to say the least, starting out with COVID and other adversity that my team and I faced this season. I feel there is still some unfinished business and that’s not how I want to close out my collegiate career.
With that being said, I have decided to take advantage of my extra year of eligibility and return for the 2021 season. Time to get back to work!”
