West Virginia Falls Late in Cleveland to Ohio State

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The West Virginia Mountaineers battled back from a big deficit against the Ohio State Buckeyes to close the gap in the second half. West Virginia eventually tied the game late in the game and sent it to overtime. In overtime, the Mountaineers fell just short, losing 78-75.

The Mountaineers were led by another incredible performance from RaeQuan Battle, who had 24 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Noah Farrakhan had 17 points and 4 rebounds, and Quinn Slazinski added 11 points and 7 rebounds.

West Virginia is back in action on Saturday, January 6th at 2:00PM against the #3 ranked Houston Cougars.
