West Virginia Favorites to Land Georgetown Big Man

Morgantown, West Virginia – Qudus Wahab, a 6’11 sophomore forward, has listed the West Virginia Mountaineers as one of his favorite schools that he’s considering after recently transferring from Georgetown!

Wahab averaged 12.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks for the Hoyas last season and would be an outstanding addition to West Virginia’s front court.

The Mountaineers struggled with interior defense last season and he would provide an immediate presence under the basket.

Wahab has reportedly already met with a few teams and intends to meet with the West Virginia coaching staff soon via Zoom.

The other schools that Wahab is considering are Miami, Maryland, Tennessee, VCU and NC State.

Based on the players that Bob Huggins and staff have reached out to in the transfer portal, the Mountaineers are looking to add bulk, size and defense, and Qudus Wahab is a prototypical Huggins’ player that would check off a lot of boxes for next year’s team!
