MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — Hudson Clement, a 6’1 redshirt freshman wide receiver from Martinsburg, West Virginia, had 5 receptions for an incredible 177 yards and 3 touchdowns in the West Virginia Mountaineers’ 56-17 win over Duquesne.

Following the game, West Virginia head coach Neal Brown announced that Clement, who was a walk on, earned a scholarship for the team!

“Life is about opportunities, Brown said. “And what Hudson did with his opportunity is go out and get 5 catches for 177 yards and 3 touchdowns. He earned a scholarship with tonight’s game. He got the scholarship right there in the locker room tonight.”

Clement starred at Martinsburg High School, where he was named the MaxPreps and MetroNews State Player of the Year as a senior while leading the Bulldogs to a state championship with 87 catches for 1,709 yards and 23 touchdowns during his senior season at Martinsburg.

Huge night for the West Virginia native!
