West Virginia Gets First Commit of Big Recruiting Weekend

The West Virginia Mountaineers landed their first commit of a weekend that features lots of big recruits in town and on campus.  Austin Brinkman, a long snapper from Bel Air, Maryland.

Brinkman will likely compete to fill the void of West Virginia’s outstanding long snapper this season Rex Sunahara.  Sunahara has handled the long snapping duties for punts, field goals and extra points for the Mountaineers for the past two seasons.

Brinkman, who was also recruited by Penn State, will have an opportunity to replace Sunahara next season.
