With the win, the Mountaineers move one step closer to an NCAA Tournament bid in their first season under head coach Darian DeVries. West Virginia will likely need 9 or 10 conference wins, and with ten games remaining, finishing .500 will almost certainly put them in the NCAA tournament.
West Virginia is back in action on Wednesday night at 8:00PM at TCU. The Horned Frogs are currently 10-10 overall and 3-6 in the Big 12 Conference.
