West Virginia Has the #1 Transfer Portal Class in the Nation

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The West Virginia Mountaineers added yet another big-time transfer by landing former four star guard RaeQuan Battle, a 6’5 guard who averaged 17.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game at Montana State last season.

With the addition of Battle, the Mountaineers now have the undisputed top transfer class in college basketball! Battle joins Jose Perez, Omar Silverio, Kerr Kriisa and Jesse Edwards to form the most dominant transfer class in the nation.

According to 247 Sports, West Virginia has the top transfer class with four star players (Kriisa, Edwards, Battle) and three star players (Perez and Silverio) with a 92.20 average rating and a total of 32.27 team points. In comparison, the #2 team, Gonzaga, has 30.50 team points.

According to On3.com, the Mountaineers already had the #1 transfer class before adding Battle. The addition of Battle will only increase West Virginia’s lead at the top of the transfer portal rankings.

Bob Huggins and his staff have worked miracles and positioned the Mountaineers to enter next season as a potential favorite in the Big 12 Conference and truly a contender to compete for a national championship.
