West Virginia High School’s Top Player Now a Mountaineer

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — Moments ago, the 2023 West Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year, committed to play football for the Mountaineers!

Judah Price, a 5-foot-9 running back prospect out of Independence High School in Coal City, West Virginia, announced his commitment on Twitter.

Price was the 2023 Gatorade State Player of the Year for West Virginia. During his senior campaign in 2022, he accumulated 2,587 rushing yards and 49 rushing touchdowns (52 total). The talented Price was also named the Kennedy Award Winner (Best Player in WV), Curt Warner Award Winner (Best RB in WV), and the MetroNews Player of the Year.

Price set state records for both two-point conversions (42) and single season scoring (396).
