West Virginia Lands Clemson Transfer

Morgantown, West Virginia – Former four star running back out of Butler, Georgia, Lyn-J Dixon, has committed to play for the West Virginia Mountaineers!

Dixon, an accomplished back who has played for the Clemson Tigers for the past four seasons, will be the absolutely perfect replacement for Leddie Brown in the Mountaineers’ backfield next season.

During his career at Clemson, Dixon has rushed 218 times for 1,420 yards and 13 touchdowns and ranked 2nd all-time in Clemson history in yards per carry (6.6 yards per rush) prior to the start of this season.

This season, Dixon was in the coaches’ doghouse and has only rushed 10 times for 48 yards.  Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said the following of Dixon this season: “He just needs to grow up. It’s just that simple. He needs to be a team player.  He’s a very good player, obviously. He’s very talented. But we just need him to stay out of the doghouse. That’s about it.”
