West Virginia Lands Iowa Transfer

Morgantown, West Virginia – Joe Toussaint, a transfer guard who has played for the Iowa Hawkeyes for the past three seasons, has committed to play for the West Virginia Mountaineers!

Toussaint, a Bronx, New York native, is currently listed as a five star transfer prospect and the 10th best player available in the transfer portal.

During his time at Iowa, Toussaint averaged 6.5 points his freshman season, 3.7 points his sophomore season and 4.3 points per game this past season for the Hawkeyes. Although those averages aren’t particularly impressive, Toussaint is known primarily as a tough, hard-nosed defender.

Toussaint, 6’0 190 pounds, has two years of eligibility remaining and is certainly capable of stepping in and being the starting point guard for the Mountaineers next season.
