Morgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, five star quarterback JT Daniels announced that he’s committing to play for the West Virginia Mountaineers!
Daniels, who visited Morgantown over the weekend, chose the Mountaineers over Oregon State and Missouri. Daniels passed for 722 yards, 7 touchdowns and 3 interceptions for the Georgia Bulldogs last season.
Daniels has two full years of eligibility remaining and will almost certainly be the starting quarterback for the Mountaineers when West Virginia opens the season against the Pitt Panthers in the Backyard Brawl.
Former Georgia QB JT Daniels told @PeteThamel that he's transferring to West Virginia.
He called coach Neal Brown and informed him of the decision Wednesday morning. https://t.co/yKVz4lrW7q pic.twitter.com/0AaCG3LeTr
