Morgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, Omar Silverio, a transfer from Manhattan, has decided to commit to play for the West Virginia Mountaineers!
Silverio, a 6’3 200 pound guard from the Dominican Republic, played last season at Hofstra, where he averaged 10.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 91.9% from the foul line and 35.8% from three point range.
In his commitment message, Silverio said the following: “God always has a plan. Ready to come in and play for a Hall of Famer, Coach Huggs.”
Silverio will join Joe Toussaint, Jose Perez, Josiah Davis, Seth Wilson and Kobe Johnson in the West Virginia backcourt next season.
