West Virginia Lands Travious Lathan

Morgantown, West Virginia – Neal Brown and his coaching staff have done it again!  Travious Lathan, a four star linebacker from Miami, Florida, has committed to play for the Mountaineers!

Lathan becomes the 5th four star recruit for West Virginia in the 2022 class, joining quarterback Nicco Marchiol, cornerback Jacolby Spells, wide receiver Kevin Thomas and running back Justin Williams.

Lathan, a 6’2 200 pound linebacker, chose West Virginia over offers from Pittsburgh, Arizona State, Boston College, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Syracuse and Tennessee, among several others.

Lathan is rated as the 34th best linebacker in the nation and 38th top recruit from the state of Florida by 247 and the 40th best player at his position and the 66th top prospect in Florida by Rivals.  West Virginia’s 2022 class is currently ranked in the Top 25 by both recruiting services.

Neal Brown and his coaching staff put in an incredible amount of work and effort into recruiting this past offseason and it’s paying off in a big way!  Brown has put together one of the best classes in the nation and perhaps the finest in West Virginia football history!
