
Morgantown, West Virginia – The West Virginia Mountaineers (13-9) led 32-26 at halftime, but once again shot poorly in the second half, losing 60-53 to the #14 ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Mountaineers have now lost seven consecutive games and have fallen to 2-7 in Big 12 Conference play.
West Virginia was led by Jalen Bridges, who had 16 points (all in the 1st half), Sean McNeil, who finished with 15 points (4-16 FG, 2-9 3PT) and Gabe Osabuohien, who added 8 points (1-8 FG) and 13 rebounds off the bench.
West Virginia shot just 15-62 (24.2%) from the field and 6-24 (25%) from three point range, and only made four shots (4-32 FG) in the second half.
