Lubbock, Texas – The West Virginia Mountaineers found every possible way to lose today against the Texas Tech Red Raiders, losing 34-27.

The Mountaineers had multiple opportunities to win this game.  Tied 24-24 in the 4th quarter, wide receiver Sam James fumbled a pass and Texas Tech scooped it up and ran in for a game-winning touchdown.

Jarret Doege finished the game 29/45 with 302 yards and 1 touchdown.  Leddie Brown was relatively quiet with 21 carries for 77 yards.  Wide receiver Winston Wright came up big throughout the game, finishing with 9 receptions and 126 yards.

The loss moves West Virginia to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the Big 12 Conference.  The Mountaineers play Kansas State next Saturday at home on Halloween.
