West Virginia Quarterback Leaves the Team

Morgantown, West Virginia – Trent Jackson, a redshirt sophomore quarterback for the Mountaineers, has decided to leave the program and to enter the transfer portal.

Jackson was redshirted as a freshman and did not see any action last season or this year, which is almost certainly why he decided to leave the team.

In his message on social media, Jackson said the following: “After a lot of prayer and reflection, I have decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal.  I will have 3 years of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer.  I am grateful for my time in Morgantown.

I have made countless friends and memories, that will last me a lifetime.  I am excited to see where this journey takes me next!”
