Morgantown, West Virginia – The West Virginia Mountaineers (6-1) cruised to an easy victory at home inside the WVU Coliseum, defeating the Bellarmine Knight (2-6), 74-55.
West Virginia was led by senior guard Taz Sherman, who finished the game with 18 points (7-12 FG, 2-5 3PT), 3 assists and 2 steals. Sean McNeil, who initially committed to play for Bellarmine in 2017 before ultimately transferring, had 14 points (6-13 FG, 2-4 3PT). Jalen Bridges had 8 points and 9 rebounds, and Malik Curry added 9 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists off the bench.
The Mountaineers are back in action at home on Saturday, December 4th against Radford (4-4). Radford is coached by former West Virginia Mountaineers outstanding point guard Darris Nichols.
