West Virginia Running Back Enters the Transfer Portal

Morgantown, West Virginia – West Virginia Mountaineers running back Sy’Veon Wilkerson has informed the team that he is leaving the football program and entering the transfer portal.

Wilkerson, a 5’9 205 pound former three star recruit, played for Delaware State last season, rushing 220 times for 848 yards and 8 touchdowns during his freshman year. Wilkerson committed to play for the Mountaineers during the offseason, but will now leave the team before ever playing a down for the team.

Wilkerson, a first team All Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference player and Jerry Rice Award finalist, will have three full years of eligibility remaining.
