West Virginia Skyrockets Up the Recruiting Rankings

Morgantown, West Virginia – The last 24 hours have been incredibly fruitful for the West Virginia Mountaineers, signing 20 recruits in the 2022 class and have zoomed up the recruiting rankings!

According to the Rivals 2022 Team Recruiting Rankings, West Virginia is now ranked #22 in the nation.  This places the Mountaineers in 3rd in the current Big 12 Conference, behind only Texas (#4) and Oklahoma (#14). In the new Big 12 Conference – minus the Longhorns and Sooners – West Virginia would be #1 in the conference in recruiting rankings in the 2022 class.

In addition, West Virginia is ranked ahead of traditional powerhouse schools like LSU (#27), Oregon (#43), Wisconsin (#44), Florida (#45), Miami (#63) and USC (#79).

Pitt is ranked #60 and Dana Holgorsen’s Houston, if you were curious, is currently ranked #68 in the nation. Didn’t he say you can’t get recruits to come to Morgantown?

Although Neal Brown has not met expectations on the field in his first three seasons as the head coach of the Mountaineers, he is very clearly building something special in Morgantown with this incredible recruiting class.
