West Virginia Starter Identified as Stabbing Victim

Morgantown, West Virginia – This past weekend, West Virginia Mountaineers starting Safety/Spear Saint McLeod was the victim of a stabbing at a local bar in Morgantown.

McLeod, a sophomore from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, suffered severe lacerations to the back and stomach, and he is currently recovering after surgery.

McLeod, 20, had 21 tackles and 2 forced fumbles in eight games with the Mountaineers this past season and is expected to start next season at Spear when he fully recovers.

The Morgantown Police Department is searching for a male suspect who was wearing a grey puffy jacket during the incident.
