MMorgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, West Virginia sophomore James Gmiter, a starter on the Mountaineers offensive line, announced on social media that he will not be able to play in today’s game due to a positive COVID test.
In the post, Gmiter said the following: “Man I wish more than anything to be out there with my brothers today on that field but I have to get better and recover from my positive COVID test. Ball out boys and I’ll be cheering you guys on! Let’s GO MOUNTAINEERS!”
Although the Mountaineers will clearly miss Gmiter on the offensive line today, we wish him a quick and full recovery.
