MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — It appears that it’s finally happening! Many fans of the West Virginia Mountaineers have long hoped for “Coal Rush” uniforms to honor the coal miners in the state and now it looks like it will become a reality!
In a social media post released moments ago on their official social media account, West Virginia football posted, “We’ve heard the rumors. 7PM.” A video accompanied the message and it’s pretty clear from the video that Coal Rush uniforms will be officially released this evening!
The Mountaineers open the season at home on August 31 against the Penn State Nittany Lions and that would be a perfect opportunity to unveil the uniforms on the field!
