Morgantown, West Virginia – Neal Brown and his staff worked wonders and pulled in the best recruiting class in West Virginia football history.  Tomorrow (December 16) is the first day of the early signing period and West Virginia is expected to have many of their committed recruits sign their official letters of intent.  Currently ranked as the 35th best recruiting class in the nation this season (247 Sports), West Virginia’s 2021 class features 4 four star prospects and 12 three stars.

Wyatt Milum, OT, Huntington, West Virginia, 4 Stars – Milum is the top senior high school football player in the state and one of the best offensive tackles in the entire country.  While he’s rated as a four star prospect, he’s likely closer to a 5 star and is an imposing athlete at 6’6 275 pounds.  Milum could anchor West Virginia’s offensive line for the next four years and one day play in the NFL.

Kaden Prather, WR, Germantown, MD, 4 Stars – Prather is a big, physical, talented wide receiver who had offers from virtually every big program in the country.  At 6’3 210 pounds, Prather has potential #1 wide receiver written all over him.

Justin Johnson, RB, Edwardsville, IL, 4 Stars – Johnson is a game-breaker who had an incredible high school career in Illinois.  Johnson is ranked as the 9th overall player in the state of Illinois and the 24th ranked running back in this class.

Jaylen Anderson, RB, Perry, OH, 4 Stars – Anderson is a big, bulky running back at 6’0 205, who is one of the top players in the state of Ohio.  Anderson and Johnson will both battle it out in a couple of years to replace Leddie Brown as the featured back for the Mountaineers.

Other Commits who are expected to sign:

  •  Will “Goose” Crowder, QB, Gardendale, Alabama, 3 Stars
  • Andrew Wilson-Lamp, WR, Massillon, OH, 3 Stars
  • Davis Mallinger, WR, Cocoa, FL, 3 Stars
  • Tomas Rimac, OL, Brunswick, OH, 3 Stars
  • Ja’Corey Hammett, OLB, Miami, FL, 3 Stars
  • Aubrey Burks, S, Auburndale, FL, 3 Stars
  • Hammond Russell, DE, Dublin, OH, 3 Stars

  • Treylan Davis, TE, Jackson, OH, 3 Stars
  • Brayden Dudley, DE, Hoschton, GA, 3 Stars
  • Edward Vesterinen, DE, Finland, 3 Stars

This is an incredible recruiting class that fills current and future holes on the West Virginia roster.  Neal Brown and his staff should be commended for their outstanding work and for making these fine young men future Mountaineers!
