West Virginia’s Director of Recruiting Teases Big News

Morgantown, West Virginia – Five star quarterback JT Daniels is officially in Morgantown and has been spotted on campus at West Virginia University tonight!

Daniels, one of the top-rated prospects available in the transfer portal, has played at USC under new West Virginia offensive coordinator, Graham Harrell, before transferring to Georgia.

Daniels is an enormously talented quarterback and him even considering West Virginia is huge news for the Mountaineers.

However, this could be much more than just a mere visit. Daniels is reportedly very interested in playing for the Mountaineers for several reasons: 1.) He’s familiar with Harrell’s offense and knows what’s expected of him within the offense. 2.) The relative lack of competition at the quarterback position. Even though West Virginia has three talents quarterbacks on the roster, they are very young and lack experience. 3.) A potential season-opening game against his former teammate at USC, Kedon Slovis (Pitt’s new starting quarterback), in the Backyard Brawl.

Clay Bollinger, West Virginia’s Associate Director of Recruiting Strategy, tweeted a very interesting message on his social media account tonight.

”Big weekend in Almost Heaven 👀 😉”

It certainly is a huge weekend for the West Virginia football program. Landing JT Daniels could be the difference between the Mountaineers rebuilding another year or being ready to be competitive immediately next season and beating Pitt in the Backyard Brawl.
