West Virginia’s Top Target Following Multiple Mountaineers on Social Media

Morgantown, West Virginia – Most interaction between student athletes happens on social media today and watching who players follow on their accounts has become a clear indication of which team they might end up choosing.

A few weeks ago, Kerr Kriisa, the transfer point guard from Arizona, followed several players and staff members of the current West Virginia basketball, and he obviously went on to commit to the Mountaineers following his visit.

WVU’s current top target in the transfer portal, Jesse Edwards, has followed multiple current Mountaineers, including Tre Mitchell, Kerr Kriisa and Jose Perez on his Instagram account, which is a very positive sign for West Virginia.

Edwards, who averaged 14.5 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game for the Syracuse Orangemen last season, arrives in Morgantown tomorrow, Friday, April 14, and will meet with players and coaches, and will tour the basketball facilities. West Virginia has had tremendous success getting players to commit if they make it on campus so let’s hope that Jesse Edwards doesn’t leave Morgantown without committing to play for the Mountaineers.
