West Virginia’s Top Transfer Target Deciding Between 3 Schools

Morgantown, West Virginia – West Virginia has been in hot pursuit of Arizona transfer point guard Kerr Kriisa since he entered the transfer portal last week.

Kriisa, who averaged 9.9 points and 5.1 assists per game for the Arizona Wildcats last season, visited Morgantown this past weekend and from all reports had a tremendous visit, meeting with players and coaches, visiting the basketball facilities and hanging out in downtown Morgantown.

Kriisa is now in Lincoln, Nebraska, taking an opportunity to learn more about the Nebraska Cornhuskers basketball program. Right now, On3’s Crystal Ball lists West Virginia and Nebraska as current favorites to land Kriisa’s services.

However, Kriisa is also expected to visit Xavier, where Sean Miller is now the head coach. Miller recruited Kriisa and coached him at Arizona so they have a relationship already.

Despite the attention from Nebraska and Xavier, I expect for Kriisa to end up at West Virginia University. It was his first visit after entering the transfer portal and trip reportedly went very, very well. Kriisa would have the opportunity step in and become the immediate starting point guard and play for a legendary head coach.
