Morgantown, West Virginia – Bob Huggins is officially the King of the Transfer Portal! No one could have expected Huggins to be as successful as he’s been in today’s college landscape, but he’s not only learned to adapt, he’s mastered the art of reshaping his team by adding transfers that fit his system the best.

According to 247 Sports and On3, West Virginia is currently ranked #1 in college basketball team transfer rankings. West Virginia has added four star guard Kerr Kriisa (Arizona) as well as three star guard Omar Silverio (Manhattan), and Jose Perez, a three star guard out of high school who went on to have tremendous success as Manhattan, also counts towards this transfer class because of eligibility issues last year.

In addition to Kriisa, Silverio and Perez, West Virginia is also hot on the trail of several top players available in the portal, including four star forward John Hugley (Pitt), as well as multiple scoring wings who could step in and start for the Mountaineers. Hugley is scheduled to visit Morgantown in a few weeks and when Huggins and his coaching staff get players on campus, they almost always get a commitment out of them.

Combining Kriisa, Silverio, Perez, as well as potentially Hugley and a top wing with what the Mountaineers already have returning, will make West Virginia a very, very dangerous team next season.
