West Vriginia Defender Declares for the 2024 NFL Draft

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — Moments ago, West Virginia defensive back Malachi Ruffin announced on his social media accounts that he is officially declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Ruffin, a senior from Nashville, North Carolina, started with the Mountaineers and eventually earned a scholarship and accumulated 77 tackles, 3 interceptions and 1 touchdown during his four seasons at West Virginia.

In his farewell post on social media, Ruffin said the following: “These past 6 years have been a rollercoaster of emotions from big time wins and devastating losses. Starting my career as a walk-on has taught me a lot of valuable lessons, but at the end it was all to be worth it. I love this tate, this fan base, and this team. I appreciate everything and everyone I have met during my time here. This isn’t a goodbye, but a see you later WVU because country roads will always take me home. Thank you for giving this small town kid a chance to make his mark and prove his doubters wrong. I am glad that I could have represented my family and the flying WV. I’m ready to continue my career onto the next level and declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.”

Ruffin added, “ESP” for “Eat Shit Pitt.”
