When Can WVU Expect to Receive Bowl Invite?

In a normal season, we would already know the postseason destination for our Mountaineers. However, as it has with all things, COVID-19 has thrown a wrench in any plans that bowl committees may have had. If you have been wondering just when West Virginia will learn what bowl game they will be going to, WVU Athletic Director Shane Lyons gave Mountaineer Nation some insight as to when that announcement will come.

According to Joe Brocato of West Virginia MetroNews, Lyons stated “bowl bids will come out on December 20th.” He would continue that he anticipates WVU will “accept a bowl” and go “wherever” they are selected to. This information from Lyons came from an interview he had with the network, discussing WVU’s late-season COVID-19 problems.

Check back to The Voice of Motown next Sunday as we will be covering just where and who WVU will be playing this postseason.
