Morgantown, West Virginia – Despite an outstanding preseason, Will Grier has been waived by the Dallas Cowboys.
Grier, who was 18 of 32 for 186 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions in his final preseason game with the Cowboys, was expected to make a strong push to become the backup to Dak Prescott.
Despite being waived by the Cowboys, it’s expected that Grier will ultimately return to play for the team if he clears waivers.
