Earlier today, Parker Grothaus, a graduate transfer kicker from Florida State, announced his intentions to transfer to WVU to play for Neal Brown and the Mountaineers.

Grothaus has been used primarily as a kickoff specialist throughout his career, and it is assumed that he will succeed Evan Staley in this role for the Mountaineers this fall.

During his time with the Seminoles, Grothaus was used sparingly as the placekicker to go along with kickoff duties. He connected on 4 of 7 attempts in 2020 with a long of 53 yards.
