WVU and Baylor Play a Nail-Biter in Morgantown

West Virginia never makes it easy, do they?

The Mountaineers and the Bears just finished off quite the nail-biter in Morgantown. In his first Big 12 home win as WVU’s head coach, Neal Brown and company were able to defeat the Baylor Bears, 27-21 in double overtime.

The Mountaineers were able to overcome a late-game comeback by the Bears. Leddie Brown scored the game winning 3-yard touchdown after a Tykee Smith interception on the first play of the overtime period.

WVU out-gained the Bears 345-256. Jarret Doege finished with 211 passing yards, 1 touchdown pass and 1 touchdown run. Leddie Brown scored twice and finished with 93 yards on 23 carries.

 

The Mountaineers will now have a bye week before hosting the Kansas Jayhawks.
