Morgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, West Virginia University released a statement announcing that some fans can return to see the Mountaineers play the Kansas Jayhawks on October 17th. The University will allow 25% attendance at Milan Puskar Stadium on the 17th.
In the press release, WVU Director of Athletics Shane Lyons said the following:”I want to thank all parties involved in getting to this point. COVID-19 has presented many challenges, but we have always put the health and safety of our student-athletes, University and community first. Needless to say, we are excited to open our gates and welcome Mountaineer fans back to the stadium.:
In addition to the 25% attendance capacity, fans will be required to wear mask that are provided by the university.
Starting Oct. 17 for the Kansas game, @WVUfootball will welcome fans back to Milan Puskar Stadium at 25% capacity as part of the health, safety, and wellness measures being implemented in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
