After coming out strong in the first half, 11th-ranked West Virginia collapsed in the second half, but would beat 10th-ranked Texas Tech on a Miles McBride game-winner, 88-87.

Mac McClung was electric for the Red Raiders, leading all scorers with 30 points, and added 3 assists. The Mountaineers did not have an answer for him all evening, and this would prove to be the difference that nearly doomed West Virginia.

Offensively, the Mountaineers had a solid night. They had six different players hit double-digits, with Miles McBride leading the Gold and Blue with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Jordan McCabe would also have one of his better games of the season, finishing with 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.

The Mountaineers will return to the court on Saturday to take on the Florida Gators in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
