In case you didn’t realize, Leddie Brown’s role in West Virginia’s offense was somewhat limited on Saturday against Texas. Today, we got an answer from Head Coach Neal Brown as to why.

During his weekly press conference, Neal Brown stated that Leddie Brown was injured on the first play in Austin. This injury limited Leddie throughout the remainder of the game, and it appears to be a lingering issue now.

Neal Brown wouldn’t commit to Leddie Brown’s status against TCU, but would admit he is “hopeful” that the junior from Philadelphia will be able to go on Saturday. If he is unable to play, redshirt junior Alec Sinkfield will be the featured running back for the offense. The team will also rely heavily on the right arm of Jarret Doege, and the receiving corps who has caught their fair share of slack throughout the season.

No details were given on Brown’s injury.
