WVU has now exchanged (3-7) Tennessee for (9-2) Army as their opponent in the Autozone Liberty Bowl. By simply looking at the records of the two teams, one would assume that this would be a much tougher matchup for the Mountaineers. However, ESPN’s FPI thinks otherwise.

The FPI is officially giving WVU a 73.3% chance to emerge victorious in the Liberty Bowl against Army. This is a 12% increase from what it was against Tennessee, which was set at 61%.

WVU and Army are set to kickoff at 4 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. The game will be televised on ESPN.
