Today, the West Virginia Mountaineer Baseball team got off to a hot start with a 13-8 victory over Central Michigan.
The contest was the first of a multi-game series that West Virginia will play over the weekend in Conway, South Carolina.
After falling behind 2-1 early, West Virginia used a grand-slam from Grant Hussey in the 3rd inning. From then on, the Mountaineers would not look back, extending their lead to as much as nine with an 11-2 advantage.
West Virginia will return to the diamond tomorrow morning as they take on Kent State. First pitch is set for 11 a.m.
