WVU Knocks Off Kansas State on the Road

In dominant fashion, the Mountaineers were able to knock off the Kansas State Wildcats on the road, 69-47.

 

Overall, it was a sluggish game. The Mountaineers were led offensively by Miles McBride. The sophomore finished 7 for 12 from the field overall, and hit 4 of his 7 three-point attempts. He scored 18 points and added 5 assists to his effort.

Defensively, West Virginia was solid. The Mountaineers only allowed the Wildcats to hit 38.1% of their shots, including 20% from beyond the arch. They were led by Mike McGuirl who scored 15 points and secured four rebounds.

West Virginia will return to action on Monday against Texas Tech. The game will tip-off at 9 p.m. and will broadcast on ESPN.
