WVU Ladies Take Down the Frogs

In front of a limited crowd at the WVU Coliseum, the WVU Women’s Basketball team was able to hold on and defeat TCU, 81-78.

Esmery Martinez once again led the way for the Lady Mountaineers. She finished the afternoon totaling 21 points and 12 rebounds. It was also a good shooting day for WVU as the ladies finished 52.5% from the field and 54.5% from beyond the arch.

West Virginia is now 17-3 on the season, and will travel to take on Iowa State on Wednesday night. The game tips-off at 7:30 and will broadcast on ESPN+.
