Beanie Bishop, a defensive back transfer from the University of Minnesota, has announced his intentions to transfer to West Virginia University via Twitter.

Bishop spent four of his first five seasons in College Football at Western Kentucky University. He transferred to the Golden Gophers prior to the 2022 season.

Appearing in all 13 games last year, Bishop tallied 29 total tackles and 1 sack. He was selected to the All-Conference USA First Team in 2021 with Western Kentucky.

Bishop is a much needed addition to a WVU defense that struggled defending the pass in 2022.
