WVU Lands Jacksonville State Defender in Portal

Morgantown, WV – Neal Brown and the Mountaineers have been hot on the recruiting trail. Only days after securing one of the best JUCO prospects in the 2024 cycle, the team has now added yet another solid piece to the recruiting class.

Kekoura Tarnue, a defensive back out of Jacksonville State, has committed to the Mountaineers via social media.

Tarnue, a former JUCO prospect, tallied 53 tackles, 1 sack, and 3 interceptions during the 2023 season with the Gamecocks. According to On3, he was a three-star prospect in the transfer portal.

Among the schools that offered Tarnue in the portal were Marshall, Arkansas State, and James Madison.
