The Mountaineers used a second quarter surge to take a 24-10 halftime lead over the Kansas State Wildcats in front of a limited crowd at Milan Puskar Stadium.

The offense came to life and totaled 280 yards. Quarterback Jarret Doege had a solid half connecting on 13 of 20 passes for 178 yards and added two touchdowns. Leddie Brown scored his 10th touchdown of the season, and tallied 17 carries for 75 yards.

WVU’s defense was solid, taking the ball away from the Wildcats twice. However, the offense squandered away the possibility at points and came away empty on both possessions.

The Mountaineers will be receiving the second half kickoff, and will be looking to be on a solid close to the first half.
