According to Circa Sports, WVU has officially opened as a +1 point underdog for this weekend’s matchup against Texas Tech.

The Mountaineers (3-1, 2-1) were able to overcome a slow start to beat the Kansas Jayhawks, 38-17. They are currently ranked number one in the nation in total defense, and have yet to let an opponent score more than 27 points.

The Red Raiders (1-3, 0-3) had a bye week, but lost the previous week, 31-15, to Iowa State. They will be coming into the matchup against the Mountaineers with a new signal-caller. Henry Colombi, a transfer from Utah State, was named starting quarterback by Head Coach Matt Wells last week.

Texas Tech won the 2019 edition of the series, 38-17, in Morgantown. West Virginia holds a 6-3 advantage in the all-time series.
