Tonight, the 17th-ranked Mountaineers knocked off the Iowa State Cyclones in Ames, 76-72.
Derek Culver, who was coming off of a career game against Florida, once again netted a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Taz Sherman would also have a solid game for the Mountaineers, finishing with 18 points and 3 rebounds.
After leading at halftime, the Mountaineers were able to hold on after a Cyclones second-half surge. West Virginia finished shooting 43.3% from the floor, and 36.8% from three.
The Mountaineers will return to the hardwood to take on Kansas in Morgantown this Saturday. The game will broadcast on CBS and will tip-off at 2 p.m.
