In dramatic fashion, WVU won the 62nd Autozone Liberty Bowl over Army, 24-21.

After trailing 21-10 in the second half, the Mountaineers scored 14-unanswered points to claim the victory.

Austin Kendall relieved a struggling Jarret Doege in the second half, and led WVU to the heart-pounding victory. He would finish the game 8 for 17 with 121 yards and two touchdown passes.

The Mountaineers finished with 322 total yards, as compared to Army’s 239 yards. This is WVU’s first bowl win since 2016.

Josh Chandler-Semedo came up with an interception in Army’s last comeback attempt, and officially sealed the game.
