According to multiple reports, Tennessee has decided to fire head coach Jeremy Pruitt, amidst recruiting violations being investigated within the program.

This carries a large amount of significance for Mountaineer fans. Not pertaining to anything to do with their team, but rather who could potentially be on their team.

Darnell Wright, a former 5-star offensive line prospect out of Huntington, West Virginia, has been on the radars of Mountaineer Nation for the last few years. After the previous regime failed to recruit him, Neal Brown spent his first two weeks on the job trying his best to convince him to come join the Mountaineers.

There has been no word of Wright seeking a transfer, nor is there a guarantee that he will. However, this will be an interesting situation to watch play over the next several days.

At this point, it is nothing more than a discussion amongst fans, with some fuel added to the fire with Pruitt’s firing.
