Powell, a 6´6 freshman, averaged 8.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game for the Mountaineers this season, and showed flashes of brilliance in his first collegiate career.
This obviously is not a good sign for West Virginia head coach Darian DeVries returning to coach the Mountaineers next season. Rumors are swirling that DeVries is very interested in returning home to coach the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Stay tuned to The Voice of Morgantown for more updates on this developing situation!
