MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — West Virginia has added another explosive playmaker to its future offense. Three-star wide receiver Landon Drumm, a 6’2 pass-catcher from Littleton, Colorado, has officially committed to the Mountaineers, giving Rich Rodriguez yet another dynamic weapon in the fast-rising 2026 recruiting class.

Drumm chose the Mountaineers over offers from Cal Poly, Montana State, Northern Colorado, and San Diego. While his offer list wasn’t massive, his production on the field in 2024 made him one of the most underrated receivers in the West.

A Breakout Star in 2024

Drumm put together a huge junior season, recording:

  • 52 receptions

  • 929 receiving yards

  • 10 touchdowns

  • 17.9 yards per catch

  • 70-yard longest reception

He also contributed as a runner, adding 90 rushing yards on 9 carries. His combination of length, speed, and yards-after-catch ability fits perfectly with the style of offense Rich Rodriguez is installing in Morgantown.

Drumm is a natural vertical threat who can win contested balls, stretch the field, and create separation in one-on-one matchups—an ideal outside complement to WVU’s emerging slot talent.

WVU’s 2026 Recruiting Class Continues to Build Momentum

With Drumm now in the fold, the 2026 class continues to gain steam. While West Virginia is expected to add more pieces in the coming months, several major commitments have already positioned the class as one of the most exciting early groups in recent program history.

Another Big Win for Rich Rodriguez

Drumm’s commitment continues a trend: West Virginia is landing players who fit its identity—tough, fast, explosive, and hungry. As Rodriguez continues to reshape the roster, the Mountaineers’ 2026 class is emerging as a foundation for the future.

Expect more movement in the coming weeks as WVU remains aggressive on the recruiting trail.

West Virginia is building something—and Landon Drumm just became the newest piece of it.
